Rare bibliographical and historical study on ''céraunies - pierre de foudre '' or in English ''Ceraunite ( from the Greek keraunos = thunderbolt ). Ceraunite is a mineral similar to jade of which it was believed that it was produced by lithtning during a thunderstorm. In this remarkable study the author traces the history , with extensive bibliographical references, of this mineral in Western manuscripts and early printed books from the classical age onwards.
