Description: Bruxelles, Imprimerie de Charles Lelong, 1864, in-8°, 200 pp, contemporary half cloth, marbled boards (ex-library copy with some wear and a label on spine). INTERLEAVED COPY, with extensive annotations by Ad. Delvigne (one of the organizers of the exhibition). , with his autograph on the title page. At the end is tipped in an autograph letter of Cardinal Wiseman, addressed to the cataloguer (James Weale). The cardinal agrees to submit some objects to the exhibition (Wiseman lived at that time in Etloe House, Leyton London). Letter dated 6/6/1864, on letter paper of Etloe House. The interesting notes on the interleaves cover a period of up to 4 years after the exhibition. Many deal with art objects coming to light due to the exhibition. The exhibition marks the start of the Neo-Gothic style in the Roman Catholic Church in Belgium. Canon Delvigne became later vice-president of the ''Gilde Sint Thomas en Sint Lucas''. .
